DT promotes use of HAPS for connectivity with BT, Orange, Telefonica, Vodafone, TIM

Deutsche Telekom said it has published a white paper together with industry association GSMA to promote the use of High Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS) technology to fulfil demand for broadband connectivity. Orange, Telefonica and Vodafone have also contributed to the white paper. Other partners included British Telecom, NTT DoCoMo and TIM. The white paper aims to find a common ground between operators, build a basis for regulatory work and steer industry partners towards supporting the development of HAPS.
