DTT-4G interference could affect 4 mln Spanish households

The activation of 4G base stations using the 800 MHz band to provide faster LTE-A 4G services in Spain could lead to interference in up to 4 million households, according to Fecotel, the country's national federation of telecommunications. The trade body said the measures put in place by the government to prevent interference are "insufficient and inadequate" and may cause even bigger problems in the future. Last month the agency predicted that the process won't be completed until March 2018.
