Dublin appoints commissioner for start-ups

Dublin has appointed Niam Bushnell, an entrepreneur involved in New York's tech scene, has been appointed as the city's first commissioner for start-ups, reports Silicon Republic Ireland. Bushnell sees Dublin as having the potential to be one of the world's great start-up capitals. A key responsibility in the position funded by the DCU Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurs will be to boost the city's international recognition as an innovation hub.
