Dutch cable connections drop in Q1

The number of broadband connections in the Netherlands increased again in the first quarter, to 6.824 million from 6.793 million at the end of 2013. According to regulator ACM's latest quarterly report, DSL lost 47,000 lines in Q1 for a total 3.071 million, while cable added 52,000 to reach 3.191 million. The number of FTTH connections increased by 26,000 to 561,000. The number of homes passed with FTTH was not updated from the 1.832 million at the end of 2013.
