Dutch Choozze closes down MVNO services

Tuesday 12 February 2019 | 10:58 CET | News

Dutch MVNO Choozze has stopped providing MVNO services, with immediate effect. The company said it stepped down from the telecom market from 31, because it has completed its mission: "After a successful start of the mobile revolution, Choozze has broken open the mobile telecom market and it is time to transfer the baton to the current market players." The company, part of SpeakUp, already stopped the active selling of subscriptions at the end of December 2017.

The company launched in August 2014 with Choozze Zero and Choozze Bright. It stopped offering the first option from 1 February 2016. The Choozze Zero subscription was surpassed by other mobile providers which offered lower rates, monthly notice periods and flexible bundles. Roam-Like-at-Home (RLAH) in 2017 also pushed many changes.
