Dutch consumer assn says update policy still poor for Android smartphones

High-end smartphones appear to receive more and faster updates than cheaper devices from the same manufacturer. But the association also noted that many manufacturers often bring out devices with an old Android version, with update promises. These phones receive a version update shortly after commissioning, fulfilling only part of the promise.
