Dutch consumer org wants more clarity on how GDPR should be implemented

Dutch consumer organisation Consumentenbond has asked the Dutch Data Protection Authority AP to clarify how the new privacy law will go into practice. The organisation noted that some companies are starting to interpret the law themselves, leading to ambiguity and discussions. The letter from the consumer organisation came after a report from the Norwegian consumer association, Forbrukerradet. The report showed how Facebook and Google manipulate users to share more personal data than necessary.
