Dutch digital TV penetration stable at 88%

Digital TV penetration in the Netherlands was little changed last year, at 88 percent, according to ratings agency SKO's annual 'TV in Nederland' report compiled with Kantar TNS. At the same time, share of households receiving digital TV via the internet rose to 18 percent from 13 percent in 2015. Homes with a smart TV also increased, to 37 percent from 31 percent the year before, and the same percentage (37%) had a hard-disc recorder in 2016. The share of households with Apple TV, Chromecast or another type of streaming device rose to 12 percent from 10.5.
