Dutch fire brigade gets better radio phone deal from KPN following complaints about poor quality

KPN has said it will give a better deal to the Dutch regional fire brigades, following complaints regarding the quality of its radio portophones and of their accessories, Verbinding reported. KPN said the brigades can get a portfophone with a beter codec or rent other ones if speed of delivery is a factor. The working group (IBARC) for the 25 regional fire brigades in the country (RBC) said this was a good option, as terminating the contract could lead to a lengthy legal wrangle and buying new phones would be expensive.
