Dutch fixed telephony subscribers down 7% year-on-year in Q2

The Dutch market lost another 101,000 fixed telephony subscribers in the second quarter, according to research by Telecompaper. The fixed-line market contracted by 7 percent year-on-year to 5.14 million subscribers at the end of June. The market researcher expects almost 2 million more lines to be lost over the next five years, as more people rely on mobile phones and OTT apps for calls.
