Dutch govt consults on implementing new EU online consumer directive

Friday 23 October 2020 | 10:35 CET | News

The proposals include new information requirements for online shops and platforms, a ban on fake reviews and more rights for consumers using 'free' services in exchange for personal data. The rules are part of an EU directive passed in 2019 on consumer protection, meaning they will apply to sellers across the EU, with joint enforcement by national regulators.
