Dutch govt opposes EC spectrum reform plans

EU telecom ministers will meet on 2 December to consider the European Commission's proposals on regulatory reform and connectivity. Ahead of the meeting, the Dutch government has laid out its support for part of the plans, but said it is concerned about other aspects that would change roles of the various players in the regulatory process. Under the EC plan, the regulator ACM would take over the organisation of spectrum auctions, rather than the Ministry of Economic Affairs and its Telecom Agency.
