Dutch govt says minimum smartphone security updates an EU issue

The Dutch government has ruled out requiring smartphone makers to deliver a minimum period of security updates, saying it's better to wait for EU legislation on the matter. The decision was announced by state secretary Mona Keijzer in response to questions in parliament about a recent case by the consumers union against Samsung over insufficient updates.
