Dutch govt sticks to tough stance on net neutrality

The Dutch government is sticking to its proposal for a ban on price discrimination by internet providers, the ministry of economic affairs said in response to questions from parliament. Legislation implementing the ban, as part of the EU regulation on net neutrality, was passed by the lower house earlier this year, but had been held up by questions in the upper house. The PVV party has questioned the guidelines proposed by EU regulator Berec for enforcing the net neutrality rules and whether the legislation may lead to lawsuits.
