Dutch govt tightens net neutrality legislation

The Dutch economic affairs ministry has reiterated a ban on price discrimination in the Telecommunications Law. Minister Henk Kamp told parliament that the EU legislation allows enough room to maintain the Dutch ban on zero rating adopted under previous net neutrality rules. The parliament is currently examining changes to Dutch law needed to incorporate the EU's Telecom Single Market legislation. The ministry has adapted the legislation to include the zero-rating ban, which could prevent for example offering a streaming service without charging for the associated mobile data. It will be up
