Dutch govt to consider new data retention bill

The Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice is coming out with a new data retention proposal, the Cabinet announced after a meeting on 30 October. Data retention will return, with the same terms as initially set: 6 months for internet data traffic and 12 months for call data. The bill will go first to the State Council and then to the Lower House of Parliament.
