Dutch govt to support testing of self-drive cars

The Dutch government plans to present legislation early next year to allow for testing of self-drive cars, De Telegraaf reports. The aim is to turn the country into a world leader in the new technology. By the autumn, the transport ministry should provide more details on the technical conditions for conducting tests in the Netherlands. Transport minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen said self-drive cars are good for the environment, safer and could help reduce traffic congestion.
