Dutch govt to vet telecom takeovers for national security

The Dutch government has opened a public consultation on proposed legislation on vetting takeovers in the telecom sector. Acquisitions of providers with over 100,000 customers would have to be cleared by the economic affairs ministry to make sure they don't pose a risk for national security or public order.
