Dutch industry calls for more active state role in supporting digital economy

Industry groups in the Netherlands said the government's recently presented annual budget does not do enough to support the digital economy. While the cabinet understands the importance of digitisation, it does not appear ready to take the lead and make the necessary investments. This choice could have negative consequences for the country, the groups warned in a joint statement.
