Dutch internet banking fraud declines in H1

Losses from internet banking fraud fell in the first half by 21 percent to EUR 535,000, from 674,000 the year before, according to Betaalvereniging Nederland and the Dutch Association of Banks (NVB). That said, there has been an increase in direct debit fraud, manual payment orders and in false card payment requests. As a result, the total damage caused by payment traffic fraud increased by 23 percent.
