Dutch internet banking fraud losses show sharp decline

The damages from fraud in online banking in the Netherlands fell by 82 percent in the first half of 2016 compared to the last half of 2015. Total fraud from payment transactions fell to EUR 4.69 million in the six-month period and was stable in all of 2015 at EUR 17.9 million, according to figures from the Dutch Association of Banks and the Payment Association of the Netherlands.
