Dutch ISPs offer postcode check for actual broadband speeds

The Dutch consumers union reported success with its efforts to convince ISPs to inform customers of the real internet speeds available. In 2014, the Consumentenbond started a campaign on the issue, as many ISPs only marketed the theoretical maximum speed and did not give customers information on the actual speeds possible at their address. Its latest investigation shows that all the major DSL providers now offer a postcode check so potential customers can see the actual speeds available in their area.
