Dutch justice minister calls for access to encrypted messages on WhatsApp, Telegram

The Dutch justice minister Ferd Grapperhaus has called for law enforcement officials to have access to encrypted messages over apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram, reports Nieuwsuur. He called for talks with the companies to ensure authorities can access suspect traffic in cases such as child pornography.
