Dutch large telecom users call for more access to 700 MHz band

Monday 10 September 2018 | 14:20 CET | News
The Dutch association of large telecom users, BTG has called for spectrum to be reserved for business-critical applications. In a response to the public consultation on proposed changes to the Nationa Spectrum plan, the group said there are more sectors than just public order and emergency response that have a need for critical radio communications. The research network Surf agreed, suggesting the government could better develop a secure radio network with one of the mobile operators, while the PMSE sector also wants to see more spectrum available for its activities.
