Dutch ministry warns for further fixed network convergence

The Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs gave its long term vision of the role of ICT in the economy, saying that without access to fixed networks, the number of mobile networks will be further reduced. There are currently four mobile networks on the Dutch market. Users are moving more to quad play. They will in the coming years want to all communications tools at their fingertips, from everywhere, and will not mark a difference between fixed and mobile networks. In order to compete on the market of the future, companies have said they will need to have access to both mobile and fixed networks.
