Dutch mobile market contracts 40% in ten years, further revenue fall expected

Friday 24 January 2020 | 12:10 CET | News
Service revenues on the Dutch mobile market have fallen by around 40 percent in the past decade, Telecompaper research shows. Increased competition and regulation as well as changes in customer behaviour have put pressure on prices, driving down revenues for operators despite the explosive growth in mobile internet use and the mass migration to postpaid subscriptions. For the period 2019-2023, Telecompaper expects a further contraction, with a negative CAGR of 2.0 percent.
