Dutch mobile operators add 147 new antennas in June

The Dutch mobile operators added a net 147 new antennas June, after a fall of 52 in May, the Antenna Bureau announced. The strong uptick included mainly new LTE sites, which grew to nearly 17,000 or 37.4 percent of the total. UMTS increased by 20 antennas to 14,589, and GSM 900 sites rose by 40, while the number of GSM 1800 antennas continued to fall, down by five to 4,882. In total, the country counted 45,423 mobile antennas at the end of June.
