Dutch mobile revenues up in Q2, SMS fall slows

Revenues on the Dutch mobile services market increased slightly in the second quarter compared to a year earlier, according to the latest market monitor from regulator ACM. Falling voice revenues were more than compensated by the growth in data services. The number of smartphones and tablets with internet access grew by 580,000 in the quarter to around 11 million. Smartphones accounted for most of these, at 10.2 million. The total number of mobile lines was still down by almost 400,000 to 21.3 million.
