Dutch municipalities consider dropping Kaspersky software

The Information Security Service for municipalities (IBD) is consulting with the National Cyber ​​Security Center (NCSC) of the Netherlands about eventually stopping the use of anti-virus software from Russia's Kaspersky Lab, reports Binnenlands bestuur. Dutch Minister of Security and Justice Ferdinand Grapperhaus said last week that the national government wanted to phase out the use of Kaspersky's antivirus software because it feared the company's close ties with the Russian government.
