Dutch Parliament brings mobile auction to the table

Dutch Parliament will on 18 May discuss new entrants in the upcoming mobile spectrum auction. Minister Maxime Verhagen has proposed to reserve two blocks of 2x5 MHz in the 800-band for newcomers. The Lower House of Parliament has put forward two alternatives. D66 member Kees Verhoeven proposed extending the reservation to 2x15 MHz, for at least two parties. Gerda Verburg of the CDA proposed making two reservations for newcomers. She said that there were several serious candidates from abroad, including a possible Chinese party. The auction has to give newcomers a serious chance. Neither
