Dutch parliament calls for end to roaming charges in Benelux

The lower house of the Dutch parliament has adopted a resolution calling on the government to look into ending roaming charges in the Benelux region. While the European Parliament adopted legislation the same day with a view to ending roaming charges in the EU from mid-2017, the Dutch MPs would like to see this happen faster. Belgium and Luxembourg already have an agreement aimed at eliminating roaming charges between the two countries. The Dutch parliament called on the responsible minister to report back by 01 December on progress in negotiations. The issue was raised already in July, but
