Dutch Parliament, minister want to scrap roaming costs

Wednesday 1 October 2014 | 09:57 CET | News
The Dutch Parliament want extra roaming costs to disappear and have called on Minister Henk Kamp to defend this position at the European Council on telecom, set to meet in Milan this week. VVD MP Bart de Liefde began a debate on telecom on 30 September in response to a draft proposal put forth by the Italian chairman of the EU, which wants more diluted roaming and net neutrality rules than the European Commission and European Parliament. Kamp supports the position of liberal party VVD and labour party PvdA. He even believes the Italian viewpoint does not go far enough.
