Dutch police find digital crimes doubled in Q1

The number of digital crimes doubled year-on-year in the first quarter, with fraud via WhatsApp and in online commerce particularly prominent, according to a study from the Dutch police. A hotline for WhatsApp 'friend-in-emergency' and other fraud has been in existence since 30 April. That hotline has now been used over 25,000 times.
