Dutch regulator claims USD 1 bln in savings for consumers

Dutch regulator ACM said it saved consumers about EUR 1 billion in 2017. In its annual report, the regulator said it promoted competition by intervening in regulated sectors such as telecom, transport, mail and energy. High-profile cases were fines for the Dutch railways NS after the tender of lines in Limburg, and binding agreements made with Schiphol and Air France-KLM.
