Dutch regulator plans crackdown on net neutrality violations

Tuesday 12 July 2016 | 17:08 CET | News
Dutch regulator ACM has warned telecom operators that they must apply the new net neutrality rules in the EU correctly. The ACM said it already sees offers in the market that violate the EU rules, and it plans to act once it has the authority to do so. The legislation covering the application of the rules is currently awaiting approval by the upper house of Parliament. The regulator said it plans to look at issues such as prioritising certain video traffic and tethering, but did not name any specific examples of violations in the market.
