Dutch regulator sets wholesale FTTH prices

Dutch regulator ACM has published its final decision on tariffs for unbundled access to the FTTH network operated by KPN and Reggefiber. This follows its market analysis in December 2011, and the wholesale price cap will take effect retroactively from 01 January. Stakeholders can still appeal the decision in court. The decision was sent to the European Commission for comment on 25 March. While the EC did not request any changes, it said it preferred a lighter touch, with only non-discrimination obligations rather than full tariff regulation. The EC is expected to publish a new recommendation
