Dutch regulator to check smart device sellers provide update info

The Dutch consumer protection authority ACM said consumers need to be informed better before they buy devices over the expected future updates from manufacturers or sellers. The regulator plans to check whether smart device sellers are providing the necessary information and if not, impose sanctions.
