Dutch regulators looking into NPO Start app ad tracking conditions

The Dutch government will not take any action regarding the NPO Start app. The Dutch Data Protection Authority is currently conducting an investigation into ad tracking in the app, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education and Media Arie Slob wrote to Parliament. In January, Bits of Information and Dutch consumer organisation Consumentenbond pointed out that viewers of the public broadcaster could not stop ad tracking on their mobile devices. Apps users must agree to the conditions, otherwise the app will not work. Socialist Party SP Party then addressed questions in Parliament to Minister
