Dutch spending amid pandemic shifts more online, more on products

The Covid-19 outbreak had a great impact on the e-commerce sector in the second quarter than in the first three months, according to the latest Thuiswinkel Markt Monitor study into online consumer spending in the Netherlands. Online spending on services, such as travel and tickets, fell sharply year-on-year, down 45 percent, but was more than offset by the growth in online spending on products, which jumped 52 percent.
