Dutch Telecom Act goes into effect

The amended Dutch Telecom Act (Tw) came into effect on 5 June, one day after publication in the government's Official Gazette. The Act incorporates a number European Commission directives and introduces new obligations for telecom operators, aimed at protecting consumers and privacy. More provisions will come into effect on 1 January 2013.
