Dutch telecom operators criticise low proposed threshold for takeover notifications

Several market players have expressed problems with the Dutch government's proposed regulation on takeovers in the telecom sector. The government wants a veto right in order to protect national security and economic interests. Operators KPN and T-Mobile as well as industry group NLConnect said in a consultation that the powers are too sweeping.
