Dutch watch an average of 183 minutes per day of TV - study

Dutch people of all ages still watch television an average of 183 minutes per day, according to Media Commisionner's Media Monitor for 2016-2017. The older people are, the more they watch TV. There is also online and especially VoD, dominated by Netflix, YouTube and social media. Young people in particular use these ways of viewing content. Both viewers who watch television only, and viewers who also watch online, still find television channels very important. The online and on demand offer therefore complements and is not a substitute for linear TV.
