Dutch watchdog to evaluate privacy risks from connected cars

The Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) is currently looking at Dutch car manufacturers, to see if they are complying with the privacy act. The idea is to see if connected cars could cause privacy violations. With the cars "connected" to the internet, personal data can be collected, such as location or driving style data.
