E-books used by quarter of Germans - survey

One quarter (25%) of Germans read digital books (e-books), up by one percentage point from a year earlier, according to a survey by ICT industry group Bitkom. This means that 33 percent of book-reading Germans use e-books. Over one third (35%) of respondents who do not currently use e-books can imagine using them in the future. E-books are used by 32 percent of 14-29, 30 percent of 30-49 and 28 percent of 50-64 year olds. This falls to 11 percent for the over 65s.
