E-Fiber drops plan for FTTH in Heerhugowaard after low sign-ups

Dutch operator E-Fiber announced that it will not roll out a fibre network in the city of Heerhugowaard, after a local demand aggregation campaign failed to generate sufficient sign-ups. Only 23 percent of households signed up for services, while the operator wanted a minimum 35 percent to ensure the network would be profitable.
