EACC cannot probe Airtel merger as Telkom Kenya has private company status

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has approved the merger of Telkom Kenya and Airtel after acknowledging  that Telkom is a private company, reports Business Daily. This means that the proposed tie-up cannot be investigated since it is technically a commercial agreement.
