EC approves acquisition of Forthnet by United Group

The European Commission approved the acquisition of Greek operator Forthnet by United Group. The EC concluded that the proposed acquisition didn't create competition concerns, given the very limited improvement in the merged entity's market position and the presence of many other players in the pay-TV retail market, including those using the open internet in Greece.
