EC case against Google based on 19 complainants - report

The European Commission's antitrust case against Google is based on official complaints lodged by 19 European and US companies, according to unnamed sources cited by Reuters. On 15 April the EC confirmed formal charges against Google for violating EU competition law by favouring its own comparison shopping services over rival services in Google search results. The EC's charge sheet lists a total of 19 official complainants, all of which will receive the detailed case documentation and be allowed to argue their position as official parties to the proceedings.
