EC clears 21st Century Fox takeover of Sky

The European Commission has approved unconditionally Twenty-First Century Fox's acquisition of the remaining shares in pay-TV provider Sky. The Commission concluded the transaction would raise no competition concerns in Europe. The takeover remains subject to review by the UK government on whether the proposed transaction is in line with the public interest and will not harm media plurality.
