EC clears UK business market review

The European Commission has approved Ofcom's Business Connectivity Market Review 2016 (BCMR) proposals. The decision aims to improve access to BT's dark fibre network, lower leased line (Ethernet) prices and quicken fibre installations, ISPreview reports. It confirms that BT must provide access to its fibre network for othe business providers, using dark fibre. Ofcom also confirmed reductions in the wholesale prices BT charges for leased line services. Ofcom targets a final dark fibre access sollution ready by the end of 2016, which would mean that it could officially launch to industry by 01
